Mr. Rick Schwartz

Teacher of

Instrumental Music

Director of Bands

Mr. Schwartz grew up in Bensalem, PA and attended Bensalem High School. Upon graduation, he attended West Chester University where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education. While at WCU, he studied trumpet with Dr. Kenneth Laudermilch and Mr. Frank Kaderabek. After attending West Chester University, Mr. Schwartz attended Temple University where he served as the graduate assistant to the Director of Athletic Bands.

Mr. Schwartz had the opportunity to arrange the music and write the drill for a Temple halftime show to be performed in the Inaugural year of Lincoln Financial Field. While at Temple Universtiy, Mr. Schwartz studied trumpet with Mr. Eric Schweingruber and conducting with Mr. Arthur Chodoroff.In his spare time, Mr. Schwartz is an avid sports fan, cheering on the Philadelphia sports teams. He also enjoys traveling and spending time on the beach. Mr. Schwartz has been married to his wife Erica for 2 years and they just welcomed their 1st child; Leah, in July. They also have two cats named Socks and Rumbles. 

Mr. Schwartz began his teaching career at Roselle Park High School in Roselle Park, NJ.
