Charles Lockwood

Teacher of Media and Film

Advisor of NHS & Media Club

Charles Lockwood III is currently in his 21st year of teaching at Oakcrest High School.  He has worked in the Media Department since he began at Oakcrest with Mr. Richard Uecker.  He has taught Introduction to Mass Media, Advanced Media and the Television Broadcast classes.  He is the News Director for Falcon TV, which airs every morning during the school year and on Youtube.  Presently he and his colleague Jason Thomas manage the Media Department at Oakcrest.   

 

Since 2006 he has been the Film Teacher at Oakcrest for the Film Production class and began teaching the Drama classes in 2009, covering Introduction to Theatre and Advanced Theatre.

He advises both the Media Club and the National Honor Society.  Mr. Lockwood also is an adjunct professor at Stockton University teaching Producing for Film and Digital Storytelling.

 

He received his BA in Performing Arts and Business from the University of North Carolina (Charlotte) and his Masters of Instructional Technology from Stockton University. His philosophy on teaching is that the individual is a unique being who has the power to change the world. His favorite things about Oakcrest besides the students and staff are its diversity, spirit, and unity.
